The Community Foundation of Grundy County stewards a number of donor-designed funds dedicated to providing scholarship monies so that young people can enter or complete their post-high school education.  Details of each scholarship are listed below.

Charles “Pete” Muffler Scholarship Expand

This scholarship is available to Grundy high school seniors participating in the GAVC Fire Science Program.  Click here to apply and learn more.

Jacob R. Perry Music & Performing Arts Memorial Scholarship Expand

This scholarship is available to seniors at Morris Community High School who plan to major in music or plan to participate in college performing arts while majoring in something other than music/performing arts.

McCormack-Hill Scholarship for Seneca High School Expand

The McCormack-Hill Scholarship will provide a total of $4,000 in scholarships per year to a student(s) planning to attend a post-secondary institution majoring in education or the trades. Eligible students must:

1) Be graduating from Seneca High School and have been enrolled at SHS their Junior and Senior years. 

2) Intend to continue their education at a 2-or 4-year college, university, trade or technical school, or be enrolled in an apprenticeship program.

Education Major Scholarship in memory of Char & Mike Farrell Expand

College education majors who will be juniors or seniors in Fall 2024 are invited to apply for a $10,000 scholarship in memory of Char & Mike Farrell in order to complete their degree.
