Nonprofits
Nonprofits who serve Grundy County are invited to participate in our various issue networks (see "Community Impact" page) as well as brainstorm with us about grant opportunities.
The Community Foundation of Grundy County supports nonprofits who serve Grundy County, plus the community as a whole, in a number of ways, including our Grants Program.
Nonprofits serving (or wanting to serve) Grundy County are welcome to submit applications at any time of year. Our Grants Program is aligned with our fiscal year (Jan-Dec) and is active until that year's funds are spent.
Applications are due by the 3rd Monday of the month for review by the Grants Committee on the 1st Wednesday. Grants over $1,000 must be approved by the full CFGC Board of Trustees on the 3rd Thursday.
Grants from CFGC unrestricted funds are generally NOT awarded to/for: individuals, scholarships, religious denominations, disease-specific organizations, operational budgets, and extracurricular trips/travel.
All questions can be addressed to Devan Gagliardo, Program Director, at [email protected] or 815-941-0852.
To apply online, please complete the "Online Grant Application" form.
To submit a paper version, please click on "Download Paper Grant Application."
We hold many types of funds so your grant idea may easily fit into one of these fund purposes.
In addition, we hold many Donor Advised Funds. Quite often we take your application and forward it to our fundholders for their consideration.
Toward that, we encourage you to call us to brainstorm your ideas. We can help you flesh out your ideas, pair you with someone who can help make it happen, and pass along your idea to donors for possible funding.
We've quite often made grants happen without spending a dime - it's all about the networking and connections!
This donor-designed fund is available for Grundy County churches and Christian-based nonprofits who are seeking funding for:
