Peg left a 145-acre farm in her estate to fund charitable endeavors in the Seneca, Illinois, area.
The farm is located in Norman and Wauponsee Townships in Grundy County is now owned by the Community Foundation of Grundy dba Keep Grundy Growing, LLC. This is the first farm that the Foundation will continue to own rather than sell.
The land has one value and the crop production has a different value. It's the crop production value that will fund charitable endeavors in Seneca. The Foundation's half of the net income that will be made available for grantmaking is approximately $30,000 a year...forever.
