Congratulations to the 2020 Youth Philanthropy Grant Recipients!! A big thank you to all the schools, students, and organizations for your participation this year. We are so proud of these students and excited for the charities they chose – it means that the teens see the value you bring to the residents of Grundy County!
Grant recipients are:
Coal City High School:
- Help for Hope $2,500 to assist those in need
- Coal City Unit School District $2,500 for student hardships
Gardner South Wilmington High School:
- Catholic Charities – $2,400 for mobile food pantries in South Wilmington
- Special Connections – $800 for client needs
- Guardian Group – $500 for micro pantries in the Gardner area
- GSW Student Assistance Fund – $500 for student hardships
- We Care – $400 to benefit people in need
- Jump Start – $400 to serve Grundy County families
Minooka High School:
- Catholic Charities – $2,000 to benefit people in need
- Special Connections – $1,500 for clients needs
- REACH Program – $1,500 to benefit students in the REACH program
Morris High School:
- PADS – $1,200 for housing needs
- We Care – $1,000 for community programs and education
- CASA – $1,000 for services in Grundy County
- Ambucs – $750 to purchase a bike
- Morris HS – $400 for a mental health campaign/day
- Loving Deeds – $350 to benefit children in need
- New Beginnings – $300 to benefit women in need
Seneca High School:
- PADS – $1,500 for housing needs
- Illinois Valley Industries – $1,000 for programs and services
- TEACH Outdoors -$1,000 for programs and services
- Grundy County Health Department – $1,000 for mental health services
- Big Brothers Big Sisters – $500 for services in Grundy County
