The Rivera family is on a mission to raise $10,000 for the MCHS Allison Rivera Scholarship Endowment so that the endowment will be able to automatically fund two scholarships — FOREVER!
Allison Rivera was a student at Minooka Community High School when she died unexpectedly. Allison’s two passions were science and literature, so one of the scholarships at MCHS supports science; the other literature.
The family is raising money for the endowment by selling copies of a book that they published after Allison’s death called “Allison’s Wonderland.” It is a collection of her writings over the years. The books will be available this Saturday at Channahon’s Three Rivers Festival at a booth manned by Allison’s grandmother, Connie Rivera.
You can help the Rivera family meet their goal by either:
1) visiting Grandma Connie’s booth this Saturday and pick up a copy of Allison’s book for a $15 donation; or
2) donating to Allison’s fund online by clicking here.
Thank you for helping this family keep the memory and writings of Allison alive FOREVER!
