November Philanthropy Essay Contest - High School students
Grundy students in grades 9-12 are invited to submit an essay for the contest to celebrate National Philanthropy Month. Essays should be around 500 words on the topic of "Choose a charity serving Grundy County and tell us why you think they are important to Grundy County." Essays are due no later than November 4, 2024. First place essay writer will be able to name a Grundy charity to receive a grant of $1,000. Second place essay writer will be able to name a Grundy charity to receive a grant of $500. Third place essay writer will be able to name a Grundy charity to receive a grant of $250. First, second, and third place writers will receive a $50 gift card. An event will be held in late November where wining essay writers can present their grant to their chosen charity.
