November Philanthropy Essay Contest - 6-8 grades
Grundy students in grades 6-8 are invited to submit an essay for the contest to celebrate National Philanthropy Month. Essays should be around 250 words and the theme of the essay is "The importance of giving and volunteering." Essays are due no later than Friday, November 14, 2025. First place essay writer will be able to name a Grundy charity to receive a grant of $1,000. Second place essay writer will be able to name a Grundy charity to receive a grant of $500. Third place essay writer will be able to name a Grundy charity to receive a grant of $250. First, second, and third place writers will receive a $50 gift card. An event will be held in late November where wining essay writers can present their grant to their chosen charity.
